Travel Photography
I have been incredibly lucky over the years to visit many amazing places around the world. I absolutely love traveling. It is hard to describe the felling of being in a culture so different from my own. It always seems like I show up to where I am traveling late at night. I will never forget the feeling of being in a strange country, its foggy, I'm jet-lagged, and no one is speaking English. Traveling is amazing and I hope to continue my adventures around the world.
Belize/GuatemalaI visited Belize and Guatemala in March of 2009. Both countries were very similar while at the same time, they were very different. In Belize everyone speaks english and tourism has been very developed – while in Guatemala, spanish is the main language and years of civil war and corruption have hit hard. The Mayan ruins were amazing and the people in both countries were amazingly friendly and kind. |
Ecuador I visited Ecuador in November, 2008. It was an amazing trip, but one of the most trying of all the places I have been. I stayed with local families the entire time I was there. Which, with the langage barrier, was hard. I also had my suitcase stolen on the 3 day i was there (of a 3 week trip). Luckily, my camera wasnt stolen so i was able to get some great photos. |
Nepal I visited Nepal in March, 2008 for a little under 2weeks. While there we treked the foothills of the himilayas, got covered in color at the Holi Festival, and visited a Hindu cremation temple. Nepal was an amazing place to visit. |
Thailand visited Thailand from April 26th-May 10th, 2008. It was an amazing trip. We crammed 3 cities into 12 days and we were completely exhausted by then. It was totally worth it though. Thailand is one of my favorite places in the world and I will hopefully be traveling back in the near future. |
Peru I visited Peru in July, 2007 for 3 weeks. While there we hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, visited the Virgin Del Carmin Festival, and traveled into the Amazon Jungle. This trip was amazing! Peru is full of amazing people and breathtaking scenery. |
Egypt I visited Egypt for a whirlwind tour in march, 2007 the trip was sadly short, but we managed to cram in quite a bit. |
| India I visited India in 2006. India is colorful, busy, dirty and fascinating. The culture here is so energetic and there is so much going on. The two weeks I spent in India were exhausting, but well worth it. . |
China I visited China in 2005. I think China has one of the most interesting and strange cultures of anywhere I have visited. There is such a unique blend of modern capitalism, older communism, and ancient culture. |

Europe I lived in London for 4 months in the Fall of 2003 and returned to Europe the following summer. |
TanzaniaIn the summer of 2000 i visited Tanzania, this was my first trip outside the US (not counting Canada and Mexico). Africa was quite the culture shock. |

Around the US You don't have to travel across the world to find some amazing places. These photos include California, Washington, Arizona and Hawaii. |
Bellingham Where I live. The beauty of the Northwest always blows me away, and Bellingham is (I think) the best city in the Northwest. Sunsets, mountains, lakes, parks and so much more - this city has it all. |
